Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I
We took the kids to see this Friday night at the dollar theater. They had a super time. Michael like the movie as well. Me? Well, it was okay. But that is about it. Just okay. Maybe I needed to re-watch the 3 movies before this one. Or maybe my mind was just not totally there. But I just did not think the movie was all that it was hyped up to be. It seemed to jump from one scene to the next and felt forced. It had a totally different feel from the other movies. It was much darker, which was fine. Dark is good. But some of the dialogue was garbled and lost in the noise of the movie. This happened several times. I don't know, maybe it is just me. The kids say it is and Mike says it is so maybe they are right. :-) It was okay though. I might watch it when it hits cable. I guess it was just not what I was expecting. I DID enjoy the fact that it was set in different places outside of Hogwart's and you got to meet more of the side characters. All in all, it was just okay. I will probably see the next one simply because I have invested time and money into the books and movies.
